Chant one million times for world peace, they told me.
Pray three times a day to end all wars.
Practice austerities to liberate all living beings.
But the world's miseries have never diminished

ahhh yes... have not all we who have at one point or another endeavored to seek "enlightenment" or to follow a path of goodness - come across our own assorted frustrations at the percieved failures of our pursuit?

I think we're well to consider that perhaps.... perhaps these things we seek. Perhaps that seed of whatever it is within us all that motivates such seeking... Perhaps it is something that is much larger than the human scale of understanding. Perhaps the effect of our efforts are difficult to percieve along the miniscule timeline of a single human lifespan.

Still... while perhaps the daily practice of chants, or the seeking of wisdom or the prayers of the masses have "failed" to end all ward.

Perhaps their success lies within the hearts and the souls of the individuals from whence they came? And perhaps further stll, within the collective consciousness of all those in this universe who endeavor to participate in the positive evolution of humankind....

Just an opinion.

Well , I have stated in many posts that I don't believe in god, but I do believe in Jesus and the profit of everyother religions as men with a passion for their fellow man.
My favorite is God helps those who help them selves.
Well who the hell needs you if I can do it myself.
The only one who benafits from that statement is the burgler who breaks into your house.

It's always nice to have visitors from Meatspace. Your comment is fantastico! So dead on, it's eerie. You sure you weren't a Taoist monk in an earlier life? Heh!

I really appreciate you stopping by, please come again soon.

Walker:
Oh man, you took the time to comment during your hellish ordeal. Thank you, it's very kind of you. I'm hoping you survive your moving nightmare in one piece.
