WHY?

That's a good question, but there is no need to shout. :-)

I've been asking myself the same question the last few days. Now that Yahoo says blogs are news, and the courts have ruled that liable, slander, and out right lies are protected under the First Amendment as free speech, I may have decided in haste.

If I declare that I am running for President, I can post in my blog that Hillary Clinton is a heroin-shooting lesbian who voted yes on taxing Internet access.

Now, that's news protected by the First Amendment, and I don't have to retract it, like those pussies at the New York Times did with the Alessandra Stanley comments about Geraldo.

Hmmm, maybe I will rethink the blog...

Hey Henry, this is a by product of free speech, in fact I have been attact on occation and am under attack now. But I am fighting back which in a country without free speech would be imposible.
Now if we are using psenonyms (ack gezz did I spell that write?) then they are not taking about us but the entity we portray. I am sure that if people would be using real names and slandering a person there may be some defense.
I am going to look into the book you recomended because I am curious but I do peleive as a species we are meat eaters.
Hope you decide to write again. If for anything to fight back. :)

Hey Henry, sorry to see that you've disbanded your blog. You constantly come by and comment on mines and I thank you for giving me the time and day. I'm sure your blog would have been an interesting read.
Most, if not all, of the readers that come to my blog turn out to be pretty intriguing bloggers themselves. Some dare I say, WAY better bloggers than me. I'm sure whatever the reason is ... it is good. Again, thanks for dropping by.

Can't blame Henry for his decision, though his thought-provoking posts, techno-genius (the fire video rocked!) and other great topics will be missed!!
